For over 50 years PEAL has been involved in major mining projects in Spain to become one of the leaders in the sector.

How many mines are in Spain?

The latest available data from the annual statistics for mining (2010), estimated there were 3,612
mining operations with some 29,500 directly employed in underground and open pit mines.

What is mined? Various types of materials:

Energy: includinganthracite & coal.
Metallic minerals including tin, lead, copper, zinc, gold.
Non-metallic minerals; industrial, ornamental rocks and quarried materials; including: quartz, feldspar, salt, slate, marble, clay, granite, gypsum.
