By fostering development in the territory where we carry out our operations and contributing to the organization of that society we aim to become promoters in generating collective wealth.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility focuses on local development through joint participation with communities and governments in decision making and actions that seek effective and efficient solutions to the problems caused by poverty and inequity; by providing employment and encouraging good governance and environmental sustainability.






SOCIAL POLICY.


By fostering development in the territory where we carry out operations and contributing to the organisation of society we aim to promote the generation of collective wealth, social inclusion and the consolidation of democracy. To achieve this we work within a participatory process, organised,
planned and collective in conjunction with local representatives. We pursue sustainable development, without behaving paternalistically or undermining the state’s obligations. We recognise government and society as stakeholders in local resources and their use to generate wealth in order to benefit society as a whole.


TEN PRINCIPLES


These ten principles are based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the Declaration of the
Principles outlined by the International Labour Organization, the Rio Declaration on Environment and Development and the United Nations Convention against Corruption.


Principle 1: Within their sphere of influence businesses should support and respect the protection of the universally recognised fundamental human rights.

Principle 2: Businesses should ensure their companies are not complicit in human rights violations.

Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining.

Principle 4: Businesses should uphold the elimination of all forms of forced or compulsory labour.

Principle 5: The effective abolition of child labour.

Principle 6: Businesses should support the elimination of discrimination in employment and occupation.

Principle 7: Businesses should sustain a precautionary approach to environmental challenges.

Principle 8: Businesses should undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.

Principle 9: Businesses should encourage the development and diffusion of technologies that respect the environment.

Principle 10:Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
